Position: Retail & Culinary Associate (Part-Time)
Location: Spanish Pig – 77 Roncesvalles Avenue, Toronto

Spanish Pig is a growing gourmet food and wine business with a passion for all things Spanish. We are currently seeking a part-time, dynamic, and enthusiastic Retail & Culinary Associate to join our team.

This is a versatile, hands-on role that blends retail, food service, and hospitality. Ideal candidates are passionate about food (especially Spanish cuisine), enjoy working collaboratively, and are comfortable balancing both front-of-house and back-of-house duties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare simple food items (e.g., sandwiches) and assist with light food service.

  • Pack and prepare online orders with care and efficiency.

  • Make cocktails in accordance with Smart Serve regulations.

  • Provide excellent in-store customer service and share product knowledge.

  • Assist with inventory management and occasional physical tasks (lifting up to ~50 lbs).

  • Help maintain a clean, food-safe, and welcoming environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate (Ontario)

  • Valid Smart Serve Certification

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

  • Genuine passion for food, especially Spanish gourmet products

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

  • Comfortable performing some physical tasks

  • Experience in food retail, restaurants, or specialty grocery settings

Assets (Not Required)

  • Spanish language skills

  • Ham carving experience or willingness to learn

Eligibility

Applicants must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents. At this time, we are not able to sponsor work permits.
