The 2024 Bodegas Comenge Biberius is a vibrant, modern expression of Ribera del Duero made entirely from Tempranillo. Youthful and energetic, it captures the purity of the grape while maintaining the structure and depth that define the region.
In the glass, it shows a deep cherry colour with violet highlights. The nose is expressive and fruit-forward, offering ripe raspberries, blackberries, and red cherries layered with subtle notes of cocoa, sweet spice, and a touch of toasted oak. On the palate, it is smooth and balanced, with fresh acidity lifting the generous fruit. The tannins are polished and well integrated, giving the wine shape without heaviness.
This is a wine designed to be both approachable and serious. It has enough concentration to stand up to grilled meats, charcutería, and aged cheeses, yet enough freshness to enjoy on its own. A brief period of oak ageing adds complexity while allowing the fruit to remain the focus.
