A true Spanish Christmas classic, Turrón de Jijona is the wonderfully soft, creamy counterpart to the crunchy turrón of Alicante. Made by AntiuXixona in Jijona (Xixona), Alicante—the historic heartland of Spanish turrón—this traditional sweet is all about the rich, unmistakable flavour of toasted almonds.

Unlike hard turrón, Jijona is made by finely grinding toasted almonds together with honey and sugar until they release their natural oils, creating its characteristic soft, almost melt-in-the-mouth texture. The result is intensely nutty and aromatic, with the sweetness of honey balancing the deep roasted flavour of the almonds.

This turrón carries the Jijona DOP (Protected Designation of Origin), which protects both its geographical origin and its traditional method of production. Genuine Turrón de Jijona must be produced within the designated area around Jijona in Alicante and meet the standards established for this celebrated Spanish confection.

AntiuXixona is one of the best-known names associated with traditional turrón production in Jijona, continuing a confectionery tradition that has made this small Alicante town synonymous with turrón throughout Spain.

Traditionally enjoyed during Christmas and the festive season, Turrón de Jijona is served simply: cut into small pieces and shared after a meal alongside coffee, cava, sweet wine or a glass of brandy. Its rich almond flavour also makes it excellent crumbled over ice cream or incorporated into desserts.

Product highlights:
• Authentic Turrón de Jijona from Alicante, Spain
• DOP Jijona protected designation
• Traditional soft and creamy turrón blando
• Rich toasted-almond and honey flavour
• Smooth, delicate, melt-in-the-mouth texture
• A quintessential Spanish Christmas tradition
• Produced by AntiuXixona
• 150g

For anyone who grew up with Spanish Christmas traditions, this is a taste of the holidays. For those discovering turrón for the first time, Jijona is an excellent place to start—rich, almondy, beautifully soft and unmistakably Spanish.

Smooth, creamy, and deeply comforting, the Buttermilk 48% Milk Chocolate Bar by Finnia Chocolate Co. is a luxurious twist on classic milk chocolate. Made bean-to-bar in small batches in Ontario, this bar blends ethically sourced cacao with rich buttermilk powder — creating a melt-in-your-mouth texture and a flavour that’s both nostalgic and elevated.

At 48% cacao, it strikes a perfect balance between sweet and rich. The buttermilk adds a subtle tang and a velvety softness that coats the palate with warmth and depth. Think childhood favourites reimagined with grown-up sophistication — a bar that bridges the familiar and the refined.

The flavour is round and chocolate-forward, with natural notes of caramel and cream. There’s no bitterness, no artificial sweetness — just honest, beautifully tempered chocolate that delivers with every bite. It’s a bar that wouldn’t feel out of place in a Spanish pastelería, next to flaky napolitanas and delicate bombones.

Whether you enjoy it with a café con leche or tucked into a thoughtful gift box, this is comfort food with craft at its core. Finnia’s commitment to ethical sourcing and small-batch precision shines through in every square.

Ingredients: Organic cacao beans, organic cane sugar, buttermilk powder, organic cocoa butter.
No artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives.

The Sweet and Salty Canadian Dark Chocolate Bar is a rich, handcrafted indulgence that perfectly balances bold cocoa flavor with the comforting contrast of sweetness and salt. Made using a “bean to bar” process, this chocolate is crafted from ethically sourced, high-quality cacao beans that are roasted, ground, and refined in small batches by Canadian artisans. Each step of the process is carefully controlled to preserve the complexity and depth of the cocoa's natural flavors.

This bar showcases a dark chocolate base—typically 70% cacao or higher—offering a robust and slightly bitter profile that appeals to true chocolate connoisseurs. The addition of sweet maple sugar, a nod to Canadian heritage, infuses the chocolate with a subtle caramel-like sweetness that enhances rather than overpowers the cacao. Complementing this sweetness is a sprinkling of sea salt, which sharpens the flavor notes and adds a satisfying crunch.

What sets this bar apart is its commitment to quality, sustainability, and local flavor. The bean-to-bar method ensures transparency and integrity, giving consumers a direct connection to the origins of their chocolate. Many Canadian chocolatiers also prioritize organic ingredients and environmentally conscious packaging.

Whether enjoyed as an everyday treat or a special gift, the Sweet and Salty Canadian Dark Chocolate Bar offers a uniquely satisfying experience. It’s a true reflection of Canadian craftsmanship—thoughtful, bold, and a little bit wild—with every bite offering a harmonious blend of flavors rooted in both nature and tradition.

Sweetened only with pure Organic Canadian maple sugar, this 60% dark chocolate is the perfect balance of bitter and sweet. It is lightly salted and offers a textural crunch from a sprinkling of pure maple flakes. Made with fine-flavoured cacao from the Ucayali River region of Peru. 50g

Deep, bold, and beautifully complex, the 75% Bourbon Dark Chocolate Bar by McGuire Chocolate Company is a bar for true dark chocolate lovers. Made bean-to-bar in New Brunswick, this small-batch creation features ethically sourced cacao infused with the subtle warmth of real bourbon — not in a loud, overpowering way, but as a gentle undertone that adds depth, aroma, and intrigue.

The high cacao content delivers an intense, full-bodied chocolate experience, rich in natural cocoa notes with hints of vanilla, oak, and spice — all elevated by a whisper of bourbon that lingers on the finish. There’s no harsh alcohol bite, just a smooth, slow-unfolding flavour that calls to mind the elegance of a post-dinner chocolate negro con licor in a tucked-away Spanish bar.

This bar is beautifully balanced: bold without bitterness, indulgent without excess. Whether paired with a glass of Rioja, sipped alongside a neat bourbon, or enjoyed all on its own, it offers a moment of true artisanal indulgence.

Ingredients: Organic cacao, organic cane sugar, bourbon.

From the producers

"This aromatic chocolate was made by soaking Kokoa Kamili cacao nibs in a Bulleit bourbon for 1 week. We then carefully dry the nibs before we begin grinding. We paired Kokoa Kamili nibs with Bulleit Bourbon because of their complimentary citrus notes. The Kokoa Kamili fermentary, located in the Kilimanjaro valley, purchases wet cacao beans from almost 3000 smallholder farmers, most of whom farm between 0.5-2 acres of cocoa. Prior to the founding of Kokoa Kamili the only cacao companies in the country were focused on buying large volumes of commodity cocoa for cheap, cheap, cheap. The result: Tanzania had one of the lowest GDP per capita rates in the world for rural cacao farmers."

Naturally green and refreshingly unique, the Manitoulin Mint White Chocolate Bar by Finnia Chocolate Co. is a revelation for mint lovers. A touch of organic peppermint oil adds a final boost, enhancing the fresh flavour without overshadowing the natural complexity of the leaves.

Made bean-to-bar in small batches in Ontario, this 50g bar is a masterclass in balance: sweet but never cloying, herbal yet silky, and full of character. The result is cool, creamy, and quietly bold — a flavour that evokes hierbabuena growing in a sun-drenched Spanish garden or the breeze after a summer storm in the Sierra de Gredos.

Whether paired with an espresso, gifted to a chocolate lover, or enjoyed in a quiet moment, it’s thoughtful, modern, and undeniably special.

Finnia is a small-batch, artisan chocolate maker rooted in bean-to-bar craft chocolate traditions on Manitoulin Island in Northern Ontario, Canada. The company was founded with a passion for complete control over the chocolate-making process — from sourcing raw cacao beans ethically to handcrafting finished bars in their own facility — aligning with the broader bean-to-bar movement that values traceability, quality, and flavour nuance over industrial production methods.

The Peanut Butter Extreme Dark Chocolate Bar reflects this philosophy. It starts with Finnia’s signature 80 % Canadian maple dark chocolate, produced entirely in-house using beans that are roasted, refined, and conched to develop rich character. The intense dark chocolate is paired with organic smooth peanut butter and a hint of sea salt, with a sprinkling of pure Canadian maple flakes adding subtle sweetness and texture without refined cane sugar.

More than just a flavour combination, this bar showcases the brand’s dedication to natural ingredients and creative craftsmanship. Its deep cocoa profile balances the earthy richness of peanut butter, offering both an indulgent treat and a testament to thoughtful chocolate-making rooted in place and process.

Bring a little taste of Spain to your Christmas celebrations — short of having a troupe of flamenco dancers perform in your living room, this is about as Spanish as the festive season gets!

This collection brings together three much-loved Spanish Christmas classics:

Turrón Duro de Alicante

A true festive staple, made with roasted almonds held together in a crisp honey and egg-white nougat. Crunchy, nutty and unmistakably Spanish.

Polvorones

Wonderfully rich, delicate and crumbly, these traditional Spanish Christmas sweets practically melt in your mouth. No Spanish festive table would feel quite complete without them.

Chocolate Turrón with Almonds

A deliciously indulgent combination of rich chocolate and crunchy almonds, offering a chocolatey twist on one of Spain’s most famous Christmas traditions.

Together, they make a wonderfully authentic taste of Christmas in Spain — perfect for gifting, sharing after dinner, or keeping close by for a little festive indulgence.

Please note: Brands and packaging may vary from those shown in the photographs depending on availability. The products included in the collection will remain as described above.

This creamy award-winning Buttermilk 48% chocolate is blended with pure organic hazelnut butter and a touch of sea salt to create a delectable chocolate bar with an almost truffle-like texture. Packaged in an environmentally-friendly compostable bag.

Few sweets say Christmas in Spain quite like polvorones. Rich, crumbly and wonderfully delicate, these traditional Spanish almond cakes from Doña Jimena have the unmistakable melt-in-the-mouth texture that has made them a festive favourite for generations.

Polvorones take their name from the Spanish word polvo, meaning “dust” or “powder”—a reference to their famously fragile, crumbly texture. Take a bite and they practically dissolve in your mouth, releasing the warm, toasted flavour of almonds and a gentle sweetness.

Made in the traditional style with almonds and wheat flour, these little cakes are dense and rich without being overly sweet. Their distinctive texture sets them apart from an ordinary biscuit: tender, buttery and exceptionally crumbly, with the roasted almond flavour taking centre stage.

Doña Jimena is a renowned Spanish producer of traditional Christmas confectionery, particularly known for the sweets that fill Spanish tables throughout the festive season. Polvorones are among the most iconic. Alongside turrón and mantecados, they are an essential part of the assortment of sweets brought out after meals and offered to family and visitors throughout Christmas.

Enjoy them straight from the wrapper with coffee, tea, a glass of sweet Spanish wine or an after-dinner liqueur. And a little advice for first-timers: polvorones are supposed to crumble! Many Spaniards even gently squeeze the wrapped polvorón before opening it, compacting it slightly and making it easier to eat without wearing half of it.

Product highlights:
• Traditional Spanish polvorones
• Rich toasted-almond flavour
• Characteristically delicate, crumbly texture
• Melt-in-the-mouth consistency
• Made by Doña Jimena in Spain
• A classic Spanish Christmas sweet
• Perfect alongside coffee or as part of a festive dessert selection
• 200g

A wonderfully nostalgic taste of a Spanish Christmas: nutty, crumbly, rich and almost impossible to eat without leaving a few crumbs behind.
