Güeyu Mar Chargrilled Octopus is one of Spain’s most distinctive conservas: tender pieces of octopus cooked over charcoal, then carefully preserved to capture their deep, smoky flavour. The result is remarkably close to octopus fresh from the grill—meaty yet tender, with a gentle char and savoury richness that makes this far more than an ordinary tin of seafood.

Produced in Asturias by Güeyu Mar, a producer celebrated for its restaurant-led approach to conservas, this 150 g tin showcases exceptional ingredients and precise preparation. The charcoal grilling brings a subtle smokiness rather than heaviness, enhancing the octopus’s natural sweetness and giving it real depth. It is an ideal choice for a special tapas spread, but also makes a very easy shortcut to an impressive plate of food.

Serve at room temperature or warm gently, taking care not to overcook it. Spoon over potatoes, finish with a drizzle of quality olive oil and a pinch of smoked paprika for a beautiful take on pulpo a la gallega.
