When you decide to consume it, you should place the closed package in hot water for about 30 seconds or leave out of the fridge for at least a couple of hours- this process will help to maintain the balance of flavour, aroma, and texture. In addition to preserving its color, it will help to separate the slices.

Once opened, the best place to store it is inside its envelope in the refrigerator; make sure it is properly closed to prevent it from drying out.

SERVING RECOMMENDATION

For greater enjoyment, it is recommended to take the sachet out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before consuming it; thanks to it, you enhance its flavour. We also recommend consuming it at room temperature, around 24 degrees.

Once cut you can see its marbled face, predominantly lean red meat but with a perfect balance of fat. We love to serve this simply but taking off the outer casing and then slicing it, along with some bread or breadsticks.

We got so excited when we received these at Spanish Pig that we ripped a box open immediately. The taste of polvorones for many is the taste of Christmas itself.

Traditional Polvorones are a crumbly Spanish shortbread with almonds. As mentioned, a typical Christmas sweet cake made with almond, flour, lard, sugar, cinnamon and sesame, then baked in the oven. It is shaped into small cakes and wrapped in paper. Que bueno!

Los Peperetes Squid in Ink (Calamares en su tinta) is a rich, deeply flavourful conserva that brings one of Spain’s most iconic seafood dishes straight to your table. Made using tender baby squid sourced from the Galician coast, each tin is a masterclass in traditional craftsmanship and bold, honest flavour.

Seafood paella Kit for 2 persons:

1. Open the can and empty the contents in a  26cm pan.

2. Fill the empty can to the top with water and pour it to the pan.

4. Stir and bring to boil. Empty the rice bag and spread it evenly. Stir.
