El Artesano Alicante Crunchy Turrón Torta (200g)

El Artesano’s Alicante Turrón Torta brings the familiar pleasure of crunchy almond nougat to a thin, round format. This 200g Spanish sweet is designed for breaking into pieces and sharing, making it a natural centrepiece for an after-dinner selection or a festive coffee table.

The torta has the characteristic almond-and-honey flavour associated with Alicante turrón, with a crisp texture and a delicate wafer surface. Its flatter shape gives each piece a different feel from a thick bar, while keeping the same satisfying combination of nuts and sweetness.

Serve it simply with black coffee, espresso or tea. For a Spanish dessert board, add soft Jijona turrón, dark chocolate and a bowl of clementines. Guests can move between textures and choose a small piece of whatever takes their fancy, which is often the nicest way to end a long meal.

It also makes an appealing addition to a gift hamper. The round format stands out among jars, tins and chocolate bars, and introduces a traditional Spanish treat that is easy to share. Christmas is its natural season, but there is no reason to reserve a good almond sweet for December.

Break the torta into manageable pieces before serving, keeping any remaining portions tightly wrapped to preserve their texture. A few fragments can also add a crisp finishing touch to ice cream or a creamy dessert.
