La Catedral Squid Ink Paella Kit (828g)

La Catedral’s Squid Ink Paella Kit brings the drama of Spanish arroz negro to your own kitchen. Packed with rice, squid in ink, ink sachets and alioli, it includes a paella pan and is presented as a meal for four. The deep black rice makes an impressive centrepiece for a relaxed lunch or dinner.

The appeal is more than visual. Squid ink lends the rice a savoury marine character, while the squid provides tender bites throughout. Alioli adds a creamy, garlicky contrast when served alongside the finished dish. It is a wonderfully satisfying way to explore a distinctive corner of Spanish rice cooking.

The 828g kit contains 500g of rice, two 115g tins of squid in ink sauce, 90g of alioli and two 4g ink sachets. Follow the cooking instructions supplied with the pack for the required liquid, seasoning and timings. The included pan helps turn preparation into part of the occasion.

Keep the accompaniments simple: a green salad, lemon wedges and a few olives are enough to make the meal feel complete. A chilled Spanish white wine is a natural partner, while sparkling water with citrus works beautifully too.

This is an appealing gift for a keen home cook, a seafood enthusiast or someone who would enjoy bringing friends together around a Spanish meal. It also makes an excellent pantry plan for a weekend worth slowing down for.
