Cinco Jotas ham, hailing from the town of Jabugo, Spain, is revered as one of the finest Iberian hams in the world. What sets it apart is its lineage—made exclusively from purebred, free-range Iberian pigs that roam oak forests, feeding on acorns during the “montanera” season. This acorn-rich diet gives the ham its unparalleled nutty flavor and distinctive aroma.
The curing process is another key to its excellence. It can take up to five years, during which time the ham is meticulously aged in natural cellars, allowing the flavors to deepen and intensify. The result is a melt-in-your-mouth texture with rich, complex flavors—balancing sweet, salty, and savory notes that linger long after the first bite.
Cinco Jotas is a celebration of Spanish heritage and artisanal craftsmanship. Every step, from the pigs’ care to the traditional curing process, is carried out with precision and passion. It’s not just a ham, but an experience of luxurious indulgence, making it highly coveted by chefs and food lovers worldwide. For many, it’s the pinnacle of jamón ibérico, and once tasted, it leaves an unforgettable impression.
Monte Nevado Hand Sliced Serrano Ham, aged for 18 months, is a prime example of Spanish craftsmanship and tradition. Produced in the heart of Spain’s mountainous regions, this Serrano ham comes from high-quality white pigs that are carefully raised and fed a balanced diet to ensure optimal flavour and texture. The 18-month aging process allows the ham to develop its distinct, delicate taste, with a perfect balance of savoury and mildly sweet notes that make it a true delight.
The expertise in hand carving Monte Nevado Serrano ham ensures that each slice is as perfect as the next. Skilled carvers use traditional techniques to achieve thin, even slices, preserving the ham's natural flavours and ensuring the ideal texture. Each slice offers a satisfying chew, with a slight nuttiness and a smooth finish, making it the perfect addition to any charcuterie board or a delicious topping for sandwiches.
Monte Nevado’s Serrano ham is a testament to the time-honoured Spanish tradition of curing and ageing ham. The 18 months spent in the curing process imbue the ham with complex, well-rounded flavours, while the careful, hand-carving process ensures every piece is presented to perfection. Whether savoured on its own, paired with fine cheeses, or included in tapas, Monte Nevado Hand Carved Serrano Ham is a true indulgence that brings the best of Spain to your table.
When you decide to consume it, you should place the closed package in hot water for about 30 seconds or leave out of the fridge for at least a couple of hours- this process will help to maintain the balance of flavour, aroma, and texture. In addition to preserving its color, it will help to separate the slices.
Once opened, the best place to store it is inside its envelope in the refrigerator; make sure it is properly closed to prevent it from drying out.
SERVING RECOMMENDATION
For greater enjoyment, it is recommended to take the sachet out of the refrigerator 30 minutes before consuming it; thanks to it, you enhance its flavour. We also recommend consuming it at room temperature, around 24 degrees.

Jamón Ibérico de Cebo 50% is one of Spain’s great everyday luxuries, rooted in tradition and defined by balance. Made from pigs that are 50% Ibérico breed, these animals are raised primarily in the open countryside of Spain, where they enjoy space to roam and develop naturally. Their diet is based on cereals and legumes, carefully controlled to encourage steady growth and consistent quality, resulting in a ham that is expressive, generous, and deeply satisfying.
The curing process is slow and precise, often lasting over two years. Time, air, and patience transform the meat into something layered and complex. The aroma is warm and inviting, with notes of toasted nuts and sweet cured meat. On the palate, it is smooth and rounded, with a gentle marbling that melts as you eat, delivering flavour without heaviness. There is a natural sweetness, balanced by a subtle savoury depth that lingers pleasantly.
This is a jamón that works beautifully on its own, thinly sliced and enjoyed at room temperature, but it also shines alongside good bread, olive oil, or a glass of Spanish wine.
We offer Jamón Ibérico de Cebo 50% in two convenient formats, a 100g pack for sharing or entertaining, and a 70g pack that is perfect for a smaller indulgence or a thoughtful gift.
Cinco Jotas is one of the best producers of bellota ham in the World. This is from the shoulder of the free roaming acorn fed pig. Shoulder ham tends to have a more unctuous texture than the hind leg ham, leaving a film of flavour in your mouth that is just incomparable to any other cured meats.
Serve simply as it is, perhaps with some breadsticks or pan con tomate, and be transported to a tapas bar in Spain.
