First certified organic wines of Montsant. The vineyard, 20 to 75 years old, is located in the Llabería mountain range (natural park), among Capçanes and Tivissa, surrounded by forest. Every summer afternoon, a wind coming from the Mediterra nean called “Marinada” cools down the temperature a give to the wines a special freshness.
From the first certified organic vineyard in Montsant, Spain, the Selenita Negre is a structured and savoury blend of Garnaxta (don’t you love how each region of Spain spells Grenache in a unique way), and Syrah.
Quite classical in style, this is very much a richer expression of Grenache, yet there is a seriousness to it, with fantastically elegant structure, and depth.
This wine is full of spice, blue fruits and wicked perfume, all wrapped up in a frame that balances tannin and acid in a beautiful manner.
